Executive Pastor Position
A fast growing, edgy 2000 member church in downtown Denver is searching for an Executive Pastor with a driven, tender heart who will thrive in the dynamic culture of a gritty urban church and the unique challenges that leadership presents in this environment.
Pathways is a conservative theologically, progressive methodologically, multi-denominational church growing at 30% per year. Our community consists of young professionals, urban dwellers, the homeless, and commuting suburbanites—and all are filled with major cynicism! The majority of the congregation is new to the church over the past 2-3 years. So our graced, tight-knit, spirited staff team is searching for a leader, mentor, and pastor to help continue and fuel a redemptive, transformational environment. And we’ve been in prayer for you.
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following:

4.Ability to understand Pathways’ vision, articulate its implementation and expectations to staff, and evaluate performance

Responsibilities & Expectations:
1.Manage the day-to-day church operations, including human resources and budgeting
2.Strategically lead, consult with, and mentor the staff team
3.Lead the development of ministerial and support infrastructure
4.Effectively teach from the podium and in small group settings
5.Support the Lead Pastor, Elders, and Board of Directors in the accomplishment of the church’s mission through ministry
6.Help manage the church’s physical growth by overseeing areas such as capital initiatives, master planning, design and architecture, contractor selection, and construction
The Successful Candidate Must:
1.Be a passionate Christ-follower whose life is an example to both other leaders and congregants
2.Be a loving shepherd to both the staff and the people the Lord has entrusted Pathways
3.Be skilled in crisis and conflict management
4.Have an extensive background in full time church management
