Lakes Area Vineyard Church (LAVC), a healthy and vibrant multi-campus church located in beautiful Northwestern Minnesota, is seeking a Children’s Ministry Director. This position is an exciting ministry and career opportunity for an individual with a passion to use their gifts and skills to serve and play an important role in helping kids and family’s move closer in their relationships with Jesus.
JOB PURPOSE
Care for, develop, and lead a dynamic children’s ministry to engage kids and youth in experiencing God, growing in love, and giving it away.
KEY ACCOUNTABILIES
*Develop a passionate, equipped, resources, and high-functioning Children’s Ministry team.
*Establish a culture at LAVC that radically invests in the lives of kids.
*Establish and execute a communication framework to ensure parents, staff, ministry teams, and the greater church feels cared for, resourced, and fully informed.
*Effectively integrate into the staff team.
*Ensure children’s ministry environments are emotionally and physically safe 100 percent of the time.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
*Four-year degree in a child development, education, ministry, or related field preferred.
*Must be committed and in unity with the vision, values, priorities, beliefs and purposes of Lakes Area Vineyard *Church and the Vineyard Associate of Churches. Please view our website www.myvineyardchurch.com as well as the National Vineyard website at www.vineyardusa.org.
*Must be able to maintain confidentiality, and be dependable, faithful, and teachable.
*Must have clear communication skills both verbal and written.
*Must be able to recruit and coordinate a large volunteer ministry team (encourage, oversee, guide and assist).
*Must be friendly and sensitive to a wide range of people from all different age, racial, gender and socio-economic backgrounds.
*Must have good administrative, organizational, and time management skills.
