The Minister to Children, under the direction of the Senior Pastor, is responsible for leading and educating the children of the church including special education, in accordance with the plans and methods of the Southern Baptist Convention and/or the State Baptist State Convention.
Qualifications: 1.A spiritually gifted Minister called by the church in open election, with an undergraduate degree in Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, Religious Studies/Theology, or equivalent experience and education. A Master’s Degree in Christian Education is strongly preferred. 2.A spiritually mature Disciple of Christ with a confirmed call by God to serve in this leadership position and possessing a willingness to devote the personal time, energy, and resources required to meet the membership educational needs. 3.A minister with managerial skills including the ability to plan (short term and long term), organize, prioritize and team build. 4.A minister who can collaborate, coordinate, cooperate, and communicate with all the ministry leaders and the staff.
