Associate/Youth Pastor
We are looking for an Associate/Youth Pastor…….
We are not looking for a perfect man, but a man who loves God… and is willing to grow spiritually, and help God grow young people into real faithful followers of Christ. We are a small mission church located in Huntington, Utah. We have been ministering for Christ here in the high desert for 15 years. We have seen a lot of fruit, however, we are in need of an Associate/Youth pastor … To be frank…. Serving the Lord here is not always easy… You will experience many miracles, and you will see the enemy schemes at work. You will experience holy jubilation, and your heart will be broken at times.
The thing is, we are not able to pay a full salary… therefore are you willing to raise support or work to help support yourself until a time when the church can pay you a good salary? We will meet some of your needs; but you will have to be a tent maker for some time… Now if you love the outdoors, the area is beautiful. 10,000 foot Manti Lasal mountains and the exquisite high desert of the San Rafael. The people are nice… It is a safe place to live…. But it is also a great mission field. Without question as Jesus said, “The fields are very ripe for harvest.”..... There are so many young people who need Jesus here…..Are you the one who God has called to serve Him as a missionary-associate-youth pastor?

Purpose: Desert Edge Christian Chapel seeks to fill a part-time Associate/Youth Pastor responsible for overseeing Junior and Senior High programs (7-12) with secondary responsibilities to come along side of our pastor and help take this ministry to the next level. They will report to the Senior Pastor.
Qualifications:
• You must have a love for God, a love for teenagers, and a pastoral/ missionaries heart for fulfilling the Great Commission.
• Are you one who exhibits a personal and growing relationship with God, a teachable spirit, and a healthy family life.
• Do you meet the 1 Timothy 3, Titus 1, and 1 Peter 5 qualifications for church leaders.
• Are you someone who has a missionary heart, who cares about seeing young (people) become faithful followers of Christ.
• Are you someone who is teachable.
• Are you someone who would be willing to one day take the lead pastor position?
• Are you someone who finishes what you start?
• Are you willing to stay for the long haul?
• Are you commitment to a team approach to ministry?
• Are you in love with the Word of God?
• Are you a self-motivated leader, capable of casting and imparting vision for ministry, possessing relational skills with students, parents, and staff.
The associate/youth pastor must have the ability and willingness to:Recruit, disciple, and sustain a large team of volunteer leaders, Engage parents as vital partners, teach and preach to youth and leaders in small and large settings. Communicate well with parents and come along side families, especially in times of crisis. Relate to the unique needs of teenagers.
