Duties:
Establish and maintain a ministry to youth—grades 7-12 Ensure the youth ministry maintains balance of ministry purposes: fellowship, outreach, worship, discipleship, and service.
Lead and coordinate regular youth events.
Actively pursue relationships with youth and their parents.
Actively pursue relationships within the church to build a strong church-wide ministry Be a visible and active member of the church staff-willing to serve the congregation.
Identify needs of the community and take an active role in outreach ministry.
Meet with and provide input to the Grace Education Committee.
Meet regularly with the pastor and as requested to meet with the Church Council.
Qualifications:
The Youth/Outreach Director shall be a dedicated, outgoing, enthusiastic, and dedicated person. He/she shall have accepted Christ as Lord and savior, live a committed life for Christ and believe in the Reformed tradition. A four year degree is optional but desirable. The candidate must demonstrate the skills and experience in youth ministry being able to articulate a clear vision for youth ministry and the desire to work with students, parents, and volunteers as well as having the skill to work in a staff ministry.
Pay:
$20 per hour.
